MEP QS | Professional

We are seeking a dedicated MEP QS Professional who will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work throughout the construction process of a building. This role requires a sound understanding of how MEP settings impact construction, ensuring design constructability, statutory compliance, seamless coordination, and high-quality execution from planning through to handover.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design & Compliance Management:
• Actively engage in initial design development of MEP Services and assess constructability of the design.
• Review of Design Basis Report.
• Review legal and statutory compliance of design and follow up on obtaining approvals in time. Knowledge of guidelines is essential.
• Coordination & Execution Oversight:
• Co-ordinate with all disciplines of Services Design along with Interior / Civil Vendors.
• Ensure contractors submit shop drawings and obtain approval. Coordination with Consultants / architects is a must.
• Ensure conditions of approvals are implemented at site during execution in a timely and sequential manner.
• Execute services work as per the drawings and specification in line with schedule and quality.
• Procurement & System Implementation:
• Provide value addition in the selection of vendors & local material supply vendors in line with the agreed procurement process with the Client.
• Responsible for installation, testing and commissioning of equipment related to all service (Electrical/HVAC/Plumbing, Firefighting).
• Handover & Documentation:
• Manage handovers, ensuring all works are complete as per vendor contracts.
• Ensure receipt of all relevant documents like manuals and test certificates, as built drawings.
• Follow all the checklists related to execution/testing and commissioning.
• Initiate training to the taking-over team and prepare proper Handing over documents / closing report.

• Sound understanding of the impact of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing settings within the construction process.
• Technical awareness of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with good English communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.E Electrical/Mech.
• Experience particularly in warehouse / industrial projects.
• Experience in Residential / Commercial / Hospital / Industrial Projects.
