MEP Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Engineering

• Review material specifications to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate design options for MEP systems.
• Review architectural and structural plans to ensure proper coordination with MEP systems.
• Ensure designed MEP systems are cost-effective and operationally efficient.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and drawings.

2. System Management & Maintenance

• Supervise operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, lighting, power distribution, water supply, drainage, and other MEP systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize system reliability.
• Monitor energy consumption, system performance, and operational efficiency.

3. Project Management

• Collaborate with project architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Manage project schedules, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Train and guide team members on proper MEP system installation and execution methods.

4. Installation & Commissioning

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.

5. Team Collaboration & Coordination

• Liaise with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate MEP systems seamlessly.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.

6. Vendor & Supplier Management

• Source, evaluate, and approve MEP vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance for timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Review vendor submittals, shop drawings, and material samples.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of designs, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence.
• Prepare progress reports, technical presentations, and compliance documentation.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and emerging MEP technologies.

8. Continuous Improvement

• Apply new technologies and methods to enhance efficiency and quality of MEP systems.
• Drive initiatives for process optimization and cost reduction.
