Medical Social Worker

Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide direct nursing care including medication administration, wound dressing, IV therapy, and monitoring patient vitals, symptoms, and progress.
• Assessment & Observation: Conduct regular health assessments, document findings, and promptly report abnormalities to doctors.
• Medication Management: Accurately administer prescribed medications on time and educate patients about usage and side effects.
• Clinical Procedures: Assist in or perform nursing procedures such as catheterization, suctioning, injections, and prepare patients for surgeries or investigations.
• Patient Documentation: Maintain accurate nursing records, reports, and care plans while ensuring timely updates on patient status and incidents.
• Infection Control & Hygiene: Follow hospital infection prevention protocols and maintain cleanliness in patient areas.
• Emergency Response: Provide immediate support during emergencies such as CPR, code blue situations, triage, and basic life support.
• Patient & Family Education: Educate patients and caregivers about care, recovery, diet, and medications, while offering emotional support.
• Coordination: Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and healthcare staff to ensure holistic and continuous patient care.
