Medical Oncologist / Surgical Oncologist

Medical Oncologist

• Diagnose and stage cancer using clinical evaluation, imaging, and pathology reports
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines
• Administer and monitor systemic cancer therapies (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted agents)
• Manage treatment-related side effects and complications
• Coordinate care with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and palliative care teams
• Provide clear counseling to patients and families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary meetings
• Engage in clinical research and clinical trials (where applicable)
• Comply with hospital policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements

Surgical Oncologist

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with suspected or confirmed cancer
• Develop individualized surgical treatment plans in coordination with multidisciplinary tumor boards
• Perform complex oncologic surgical procedures with a focus on safety and outcomes
• Provide preoperative counseling and obtain informed consent
• Manage postoperative care, including complications and follow-up treatment
• Collaborate with medical and radiation oncology teams for integrated care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and operative reports
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement, and academic activities
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis
