Job Description
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with digestive system disorders and determine appropriate diagnostic tests and treatment plans
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and biopsies to identify and treat gastrointestinal conditions
- Prescribe medications for gastrointestinal disorders including acid reflux, ulcers, and inflammatory bowel disease
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans that may include medications, lifestyle adjustments, and dietary modifications to manage or treat digestive system disorders
- Provide patient education regarding their condition, available treatment options, and preventive measures to reduce the risk of future gastrointestinal issues
