We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing medical claims, ensuring accurate billing practices, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical claims for accuracy and completeness
• Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims
• Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
• Generate and send out invoices to patients and insurance companies
• Resolve discrepancies and issues related to billing and coding
• Stay updated with the latest billing regulations and policies
• Prepare reports on billing activities and financial performance

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in medical billing or a related field
• Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Understanding of medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of insurance verification processes and payer policies
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards
