Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Take up jobs with a clear understanding of objectives and detailed requirements
- Plan job sequences to ensure timely completion, advising contractors on critical path activities
- Coordinate issuance and collection of materials (CPCL scope) and verify correct usage during works
- Read, understand, and coordinate drawings and work lists on-site
- Execute jobs as per work list standards, ensuring adherence to safety rules, refinery FS guidelines, and maintenance procedures
- Prepare daily status reports as required by the Field Manager
- Coordinate with contractors, prepare material requirement plans, and communicate them to the Planning Manager in advance
- Liaise with refinery departments such as Inspection and Manufacturing for smooth job execution
- Monitor ongoing jobs during shifts through shift turnover logs and regular site visits
- Ensure safety vigilance; immediately rectify any safety violations and report to CPCL and Safety Engineer
- Maintain detailed progress records in the shift turnover log book, including start and completion times for activities
- Update equipment monitoring and follow-up charts promptly after job completion
- Provide necessary inputs to avoid resource constraints and ensure uninterrupted work progress
General Requirements:
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASTM, ANSI, API
- Adequate experience with static refinery equipment including furnaces, columns, vessels, heat exchangers, and reactors
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with basic mechanical engineering knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office for report preparation
- Hands-on experience with Primavera project management software is essential
- Knowledge of CPCL rules, regulations, and refinery maintenance guidelines
- Strict adherence to all safety rules and regulations during refinery operations
Working Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (Day/Night shifts as per schedule)
Qualifications:
- B.Tech / BE / AMIE in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years of relevant experience, or
- Diploma in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience in mechanical planning and supervision in refinery or petrochemical maintenance, particularly hydrocarbon plants
- Prior experience in shutdowns like M&I or revamp shutdowns preferred
