Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake detailed mechanical engineering design for complex building projects.
• Prepare technical schedules and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Plan and manage CAD documentation of design deliverables.
• Monitor and guide performance of Technicians as appropriate.
• Represent Buro Happold in client, consultant, and supplier meetings under senior staff guidance.
• Ensure service and project work is delivered within deadlines and budget constraints.
• Keep senior staff informed of significant service/design decisions.
• Mentor and support Graduate Engineers within the team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural, civil, and electrical engineers.

Your Skills & Experience:

• 3–6 years' experience in mechanical engineering within an MEP consultancy environment.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently and in team-based settings.
• Broad building design knowledge gained from working on varied projects.
• Strong Excel skills (including macros).
• Mechanical expertise with good understanding of electrical concepts and their impact on overall project delivery.
• Awareness of other disciplines such as architecture, structural, and civil engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, IES, and Hevacomp software.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute.
