- energy / about-usRole Overview - Mechanical Design EngineerAs a Mechanical Design Engineer at Kazam, youll be a key part of the team designing anddeveloping the physical structure and components of our EV chargers
- What You ll Do: Use CAD tools to design parts and create detailed drawings
- Plan how components will fit and work together in the charger
- Work closely with suppliers to check that parts meet our specs, especially during theRFQ phase
- Collaborate with internal teams to make sure designs are functional andmanufacturable
- Manage tasks using project tools, prioritize work, and ensure documentation is up todate
- Troubleshoot any mechanical issues in current products and help improve theirquality
- What We re Looking For: 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in the EV or automotiveindustry
- Strong understanding of materials like plastics and metals, and experience withmanufacturing methods like injection molding, vacuum casting, 3D printing, andpainting
- Ability to choose the right materials based on how and where the part will be used
- Experience with thermal design to manage heat in electronic components
- Skills in running simulations and creating both 2D and 3D designs
- Familiar with design and quality tools like DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, and PPAP
- Strong at maintaining records and documentation throughout the design process
- Hands-on experience in lab testing and a background in automotive is a plus
- Bachelor s or Master s in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
