Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Marketing Lead to spearhead the strategy and execution for our Unscripted Slate, including existing and new IPs. This role is designed for a reality TV aficionado who understands that unscripted content isn't just a 'launch and leave ' project - it requires a 24/7 pulse on the conversation. You will define the positioning for each title, manage the day-to-day marketing operations, and bridge the gap between content creation and audience consumption. Your goal is to turn episodes into cultural moments that sustain engagement over a multi-month rollout. This role reports to Director, Film and Series Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- 360 Strategy and Execution:Define the unique positioning and go-to-market strategy for the unscripted slate. Lead the strategy and creation of high impact creative materials across AV, and OOH to ensure each title has a distinct voice and audience appeal.
- Episodic Sustainment:Own the always on marketing lifecycle for weekly or daily episode drops. Maintain momentum over
- multi-month runs by identifying conversational moments within the content to drive consistent digital engagement.
- Cross Functional Conduit:Act as the central marketing pivot between Content, Production, Publicity, and Media teams. Ensure
- a cohesive narrative across all touchpoints while proactively identifying and solving blockers in the campaign process.
- Talent and Partner Collaboration:Lead direct communication with high profile talent and their representatives. Partner to build talent forward creative that leverages their personal brands authentically within the show DNA.
- Agency and Production Management:
- Serve as the primary lead for external creative agencies. Manage everything from briefing and hiring to providing sharp, taste driven feedback that ensures creative excellence.
- Performance led action:Monitor real time audience sentiment and viewership data to pivot marketing tactics mid-season. Use a deep understanding of the marketing ecosystem to ensure titles remain top of mind throughout their entire run.
- Requirements:You have a deep passion for creative marketing with a proven track record of building impactful, culturally relevant Reality IPs (ideally OTT-first like Lock Upp,Shark Tank,or MTV Hustle) that pierce the zeitgeist and dominate the conversation.
- You understand how to tell a strategic, compelling, and cohesive story across multiple platforms, identifying
- key 'conversational moments ' within unscripted content to drive daily engagement.
- You've led weekly episodic campaigns in a 360-degree manner - from high-level strategy to tactical execution across AV/trailers, digita, and OOH - and understand how to sustain momentum for titles that run for 3+ months.
- Ability to thrive in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment where marketing assets often need to be turned around in sync with real-time show developments.
- You can effectively communicate and partner with executives, showrunners, producers, and high-profile talent or their representatives, fostering creative excellence and maintaining sharp taste under pressure.
- You possess an excellent ability to problem-solve across a vast array of conflicts and challenges. You are a proactive self-starter and an independent thinker who thrives with the level of freedom we offer, demonstrating strong judgment in the face of ambiguity.
