Manager, Social Media & Brand Engagement
Job Description
What you will be doing:
• Own the development and execution of Cvents social marketing strategy, championing the impact of social marketing across the organization.
• Define goals and build the processes and partnerships to ensure we have the right tracking, measurement and listening in place to deliver both high online engagement and broad business impact.
• Oversee the creation, curation, and management of all published content (images, video, written) across various Cvent-owned social media platforms.
• Drive reporting and learning through clear numbers-driven narratives to key partners, including the senior executive team.
• Establish and nurture relationships with executives and internal influencers and create ongoing education programs to enhance brand recall and credibility.
• Help lead a global employee advocacy program, encouraging, educating and enabling employees to share thought leadership content and engage on social media to grow Cvents SOV and brand visibility.
• Define content and editorial strategy in partnership with key marketing leaders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across marketing to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with broader business objectives.
• Manage creative relationships and work to establish
• Manage social-related MarTech relationships and contracts, ensuring broad adoption/effective use of each platform.
• Support other online engagement opportunities (such as review sites, recruiting platforms, etc) as business needs require.
• Stay up to date on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to enhance the company's social media presence and internal team efficiency.
• Work with marketing leaders to determine appropriate social strategies for all acquired companies and manage effective execution.
What you will need for this position:
• At least 10 years of experience in social marketing, preferably at iconic global consumer brands and/or two-sided marketplaces. Some experience in both paid and organic social marketing roles is a plus. Both B2B and B2C experience is preferred.
• At least 5 years of people management experience and a strong track record of broad stakeholder management across all levels within an organization and with external partners.
• Need India-specific educational requirement guidance.
• Proven track record developing a global brand social strategy that drives engagement and business results.
• Proven track record garnering executive buy-in and building a strong internal influencer and employee advocacy strategy.
• Strong understanding of how organic social media operates as part of the customer journey, brand awareness, and overall marketing strategy.
• A deep understanding of brand awareness, SOV and social metrics, and an ability to connect them back to business impact.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to construct compelling narratives to influence leaders across an organization.
• A champion of creative excellence through expert brief writing, insights uncovering, and trend-finding skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A strong understanding of paid and organic social best practices, platform and channel insights, social listening and reporting.
• Ability to illustrate innovative techniques and processes, including the use of AI, to increase efficiency and productivity.
