Job Description

Aster Medcity is seeking a results-driven and proactive Manager – Operations to lead and optimize our hospital's day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in operational strategy, team management, and process improvement within a healthcare or service-intensive environment. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in our operational processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Oversight

  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on management of daily hospital operations.
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical and non-clinical departments in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Streamline processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.

2. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop operational teams to drive high performance and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

3. Performance & Quality Management

  • Develop and monitor performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate team and departmental effectiveness.
  • Oversee quality assurance programs to uphold service standards and address issues proactively.

4. Process Improvement

  • Identify areas for operational enhancement and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage technology and automation to increase workflow efficiency.

5. Resource & Budget Management

  • Plan and allocate resources effectively, including staffing, equipment, and space.
  • Collaborate with finance to prepare and manage operational budgets and control costs.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with department heads, clinicians, support services, and senior management to align operational strategies with organizational priorities.
  • Facilitate smooth interdepartmental communication and problem-solving.

7. Risk & Compliance

  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and accreditation standards.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

  • Proficiency in budgeting, reporting, and process optimization.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
