Manager : Cloud and Web based Development-SL

This role is for a Manager to lead teams in cloud and web-based development. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management and technical experience in a wide range of technologies, including Java, J2EE, and cloud-native platforms. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to manage a globally dispersed team and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams in technologies such as Java, J2EE, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, and NodeJS.
• Oversee projects from initiation to completion, applying advanced project management skills, including time, risk, and resource management.
• Implement modern software design and development methodologies, including Agile and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with teams on solutions involving databases (SQL, NoSQL, Oracle), web services (RESTful), and frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).
• Manage human capital across different geographies, focusing on coaching, team-building, and performance.
• Ensure projects align with business goals by leveraging advanced business acumen and technical knowledge.

Skills

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience in Java, J2EE, and scripting languages.
• Expertise in web development tools and frameworks, including Hibernate, Spring Framework, and RESTful web services.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and CI/CD methodologies.
• Advanced project management skills, including risk and resource management.
• Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Cloud-Native Platforms, such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Exposure to various cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with configuration management tools and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of HPE UI (HPE Piano and HPE Grommet).

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Engineering degree or higher.
• A minimum of 14+ years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 4+ years as a Project Manager.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team.
