We are seeking a skilled Mainframe z/OS Technical Lead to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing mainframe projects, ensuring system performance, and providing technical leadership to a team of developers. This role involves working closely with various teams to deliver high-quality mainframe solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mainframe z/OS technical projects and initiatives.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mainframe applications.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through effective monitoring and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mainframe systems and applications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery efforts.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to mainframe systems.

Skills and Qualifications

• 4-14 years of experience in mainframe z/OS environment.
• Proficient in JCL, COBOL, and CICS programming.
• Strong understanding of DB2 and VSAM databases.
• Experience with mainframe tools like IBM Rational Developer and CA Technologies products.
• Familiarity with system utilities and mainframe operations.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.
• Ability to lead technical discussions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
