Mainframe Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of mainframe developers in the design, coding, testing, and implementation of mainframe-based applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
• Oversee mainframe development lifecycle, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Manage batch jobs, schedulers, and ensure timely and accurate data processing.
• Provide production support, incident resolution, and perform root cause analysis for critical issues.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and compliance processes.
• Support modernization initiatives or integration with distributed/cloud platforms.
• Participate in project planning, estimations, code reviews, and status reporting.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong experience with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and DB2
• Hands-on knowledge of CICS, IMS, or other transaction processing monitors
• Experience with mainframe utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, TSO/ISPF, etc.)
• Understanding of SDLC, change management, and deployment in mainframe environments
