LoadRunner Performance Tester

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain performance test scripts using LoadRunner VuGen (Virtual User Generator).
• Design and execute load, stress, and scalability tests on various applications and systems.
• Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to understand application architecture and performance requirements.
• Configure LoadRunner Controller and Analysis tools for test execution and reporting.
• Develop test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
• Monitor system behavior during tests and document findings.
• Support troubleshooting of performance issues and retesting after fixes.
• Prepare detailed performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest LoadRunner features and performance testing best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in performance testing using Micro Focus LoadRunner.
• Strong knowledge of LoadRunner components: VuGen, Controller, Analysis.
• Experience scripting in LoadRunner with C, JavaScript, or other supported languages.
• Understanding of network protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP), web technologies, and application architectures.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics such as response times, throughput, hits per second, and system resource utilization.
• Experience with performance testing of web, mobile, and enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and test automation frameworks is a plus.

Desirable Skills:

• LoadRunner certification or other relevant performance testing certifications.
• Experience with other performance testing tools like JMeter, NeoLoad, or Gatling.
• Knowledge of APM tools like Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics.
• Understanding of cloud environments and testing in AWS/Azure.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
