Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead litigation and dispute resolution activities, including managing court cases, drafting pleadings, supervising external counsel, and coordinating internal legal strategy.
- Evaluate legal risks associated with operational issues in digital SME lending and services, providing proactive advice to business units.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a variety of contracts including service agreements, SaaS agreements, partner/vendor MoUs, NDAs, and terms and conditions for digital products.
- Conduct due diligence on partners, vendors, and digital platform integrations to mitigate risks.
- Provide legal counsel ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations such as RBI guidelines, data privacy laws, and consumer protection statutes.
- Liaise effectively with regulators, courts, and external legal advisors on ongoing legal matters.
- Monitor litigation trends and regulatory changes, incorporating insights into company policies and processes.
- Develop and deliver legal training and awareness programs for business and product teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) required; LLM or relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in litigation and contract management, ideally within NBFC or financial services sectors.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to advise senior management confidently.
- Experience in digital lending or SME finance is highly desirable.
- Exceptional drafting skills and strong attention to detail.
