• Teaching: Deliver lectures and instructional content to students, conveying subject matter knowledge and expertise in a specific academic discipline
• Course Development: Develop or contribute to the development of course curricula, lesson plans, and teaching materials

• Assessment: Evaluate and grade student assignments, exams, and projects, providing feedback and guidance for improvement
• Research: Depending on the academic institution, Lecturers may be expected to engage in research activities, which can include conducting research projects, publishing research papers, and contributing to the academic community
• Office Hours: Make themselves available for student consultations and academic advising during scheduled office hours
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to students, including helping them navigate their academic and career goals
• Professional Development: Stay current in the field by attending conferences, workshops, and other forms of professional development
• Academic Committees: Participate in academic committees, faculty meetings, and institutional initiatives
