Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Lead Technical Content Professional, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, curating, and analyzing technical content that enables our clients to effectively utilize our products through digital self-service. This role involves creating high-quality content, including embedded assistance, documentation, training, and support materials. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Shape information architecture, content structure, and long‑term quality governance.
  • Build and maintain a seamless developer‑documentation experience across API references, SDK guides, CLI docs, integration guides, configuration topics, and migration playbooks.
  • Produce high‑quality product content, including user/admin guides, conceptual overviews, troubleshooting topics, release notes, and secure‑configuration instructions.
  • Create developer‑focused content such as Quickstarts, API tutorials, versioning notes, sample code explanations, and integration workflows.
  • Write and refine in‑product UX content (UI strings, error/alert messages, empty states, tooltips, and embedded assistance) to reduce friction and improve task success.
  • Plan and/or produce supporting multimedia (diagrams, screenshots, short videos, and animated walkthroughs) to clarify complex flows and accelerate adoption.
  • Validate accuracy by testing features hands‑on (APIs/CLI/UI), reviewing procedures with engineering, and instrumenting content‑feedback loops to prioritize fixes.
  • Work effectively with geographically distributed teams—product managers, architects, SMEs, engineering, QA, security, design/UX, support, and localization—to gather inputs and refine user journeys.
  • Uphold clear, inclusive, accessible content standards; evolve voice, tone, terminology, and style; and run reviews that raise consistency and quality across contributors.
  • Manage the docs‑as‑code pipeline (Markdown/DITA, Git/GitHub, CI/CD) with automated link/quality checks, versioning, and continuous publishing.
  • Optimize documentation for discoverability and retrieval—site search, SEO best practices, and AI‑search readability.
  • Learn new technologies and security concepts quickly; translate complex features into clear, precise, and usable documentation.

Master's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • 7+ years of technical writing experience for enterprise software, cloud platforms, developer tools, or distributed systems.
  • Proven ability to create excellent API/SDK documentation with precise parameters, examples, workflows, and integration patterns; comfortable reading code samples and testing endpoints.
  • Proficiency with docs‑as‑code tooling such as DITA, Markdown, Git/GitHub, and static site generators like MkDocs Material or Docusaurus.
  • Ability to independently test product behavior (run commands, call APIs, configure services), triage gaps with engineers, and ship accurate, reproducible procedures.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts into clear content for admin, developer, and security teams.
  • Demonstrated success working cross‑functionally in fast‑paced engineering, design, and product environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously while driving schedules, scope, and quality.
  • Experience mentoring writers and elevating documentation practices across teams.
  • Experience partnering with UX content or API design teams to improve user flows and developer journeys.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Familiarity with security and cryptography (encryption, key management, TLS, PKI) and awareness of standards/compliance (e.g., NIST, FIPS).
  • Experience with GitHub‑based content workflows, CI pipelines for docs, multi‑version doc sites, and terminology/taxonomy governance.
  • Exposure to in‑product UX writing at the component level (messages, labels, microcopy) and to accessibility guidelines for content and UI text.
  • Experience with content‑management systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager) and localization workflows for global audiences.
  • Fluency with SEO and AI‑search optimization for technical content.
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted content tools to accelerate expert review.
