Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. System Design and Architecture:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design scalable and reliable system architectures using IBM Sterling, Sterling File Gateway, and B2B Integrator.
  • Ensure the integration of these systems with existing infrastructure and applications.
  • Evaluate new features, enhancements, and technologies related to IBM Sterling solutions for potential implementation.
  1. Team Leadership and Project Management:
  • Lead a team of systems engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Define project goals, deliverables, and timelines, and oversee their successful completion.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  1. IBM Sterling Administration:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade IBM Sterling, Sterling File Gateway, and B2B Integrator systems.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and security profiles.
  • Onboard and configure trading partners, ensuring secure and reliable communication channels.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for optimal efficiency.
  1. System Integration and Deployment:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as developers, network engineers, and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration with other systems and components.
  • Plan and execute system deployments, including hardware and software installations, configurations, and integrations.
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure system functionality, performance, and reliability.
  1. Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including encryption, authentication, and authorization, to ensure data security during transmission and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA or GDPR, as applicable.
  • Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
  1. Documentation and Knowledge Management:
  • Create and maintain system documentation, including installation procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in IBM Sterling solutions and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a systems engineer or a similar technical role with hands-on experience in IBM Sterling, Sterling File Gateway, and B2B Integrator administration.
  • Strong understanding of B2B integration concepts, protocols (such as AS2, SFTP, FTPS), and data formats (EDI, XML, etc.).
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing IBM Sterling, Sterling File Gateway, and B2B Integrator systems.
  • Knowledge of system design principles, infrastructure components, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, security concepts, and best practices.
  • Leadership and project management skills, with experience leading a team of engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
