Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform stress analysis on aerospace components made of metallic and composite materials
  • Carry out linear and non-linear static analysis, modal/dynamic analysis, and fatigue analysis
  • Utilize handbooks like MMPDS, MIL-HDBK-5, and composite reference materials for allowables and material properties
  • Conduct classical stress calculations using hand methods and validate with FEA
  • Use industry-standard FEA tools such as OptiStruct, Nastran/Patran, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, and NASGRO/AFGROW
  • Prepare and review stress reports and documentation for airworthiness certification
  • Ensure compliance with relevant certification standards such as FAR, JAAR, CAR, MIL, and UAV-specific guidelines
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to support the product development lifecycle
  • Interpret aerospace design requirements and apply stress engineering principles to ensure product integrity and safety

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in stress analysis of aerospace structures, both metallic and composites
  • Familiarity with aerospace terminologies and standards
  • Good working knowledge of aerospace materials, material allowables, and certification guidelines
  • Experience in using stress analysis tools such as OptiStruct, Nastran/Patran, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, NASGRO, or AFGROW
  • Ability to prepare and document stress analysis reports for regulatory certification
  • Understanding of airworthiness and certification standards such as FAR/JAAR/CAR/MIL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and documentation abilitie
