Lead Software Engineer- Backend

Job Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and document software for Solvas Digitize
• Monitor task progress and deliverables—individually and for others—and escalate risks as needed
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders from onboarding to implementation
• Analyze business requirements and develop corresponding technical design specifications
• Recommend and implement product, technical, and process improvements
• Mentor junior colleagues through knowledge-sharing on the tech stack, processes, and codebase
• Lead a team of 3–6 developers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
• Design services and systems based on industry best practices

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field
• 8–10 years of experience in application development
• Past experience managing a team and/or serving as a tech lead or technical owner
• Strong organizational skills, demonstrated by process or project ownership
• Expert-level development experience in Microsoft .NET Framework (C#)
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts, system architecture, and design principles
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for business/technical environments
• Ability to independently manage and complete tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with Git and source control best practices
• Domain knowledge in financial services

Technical Skills

• REST API design and implementation
• Experience with SQL Server; knowledge of MongoDB a plus
• Familiarity with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Protocol Buffers, gRPC
• Knowledge of microservices architecture patterns
• Experience hosting applications on Microsoft Azure and leveraging cloud services
