Lead Mechanical Engineer II
Job Description
• Define, design, develop, and verify next-generation instruments, documenting progress across concept, technical feasibility, design & development, and verification phases.
• Design and develop complex electro/optical/thermal mechanical parts and assemblies considering DFM, reliability, cost, and human factors.
• Investigate and solve engineering issues, conduct empirical studies, analyze data, and communicate findings.
• Write and release Design Change Orders (DCOs) for engineering drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Manage project timelines, scope, risks, and issues, working cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, NPI, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Customer Care.
• Perform hands-on prototyping with machine shop tools and support injection molding, CFD, and FEA simulations.
