Lead Engineer - Apps&Drivers - RTOS

An experienced embedded systems professional responsible for owning modules from concept through delivery. Possesses strong leadership in guiding technical teams, conducting root cause analysis, and delivering high-quality embedded software solutions with minimal supervision. Demonstrates deep expertise in Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and the ability to transform complex challenges into practical implementations across embedded domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform system-level requirement analysis, feasibility studies, and risk mitigation.
• Lead design, development, debugging, and documentation of embedded software modules.
• Ensure requirement traceability from design to delivery, with a focus on code coverage and optimization.
• Conduct code reviews and manage quality ownership of deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and identify skill development needs within the team.
• Participate in organization-wide technical initiatives and contribute to training delivery.
• Investigate complex issues and drive resolution through deep technical analysis and innovation.
• May assume people management responsibilities based on project scope.

Education & Experience

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech, MCA, or equivalent
• Experience: 5–8 years in embedded systems and RTOS-based development

Technical Competencies

• RTOS Expertise: Experience with one or more of the following:
• AMX, Nucleus, QNX, FreeRTOS, VxWorks
• Domain Knowledge:
• Multimedia, Telephony, Connectivity
• Layers: Kernel & Drivers, Middleware, Applications
• Languages: C, C++
• Tools:
• Debugging & Build: JTAG, Lauterbach, Makefiles
