Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, ETL Developer
We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer to support a Talend to Apache Hop migration program. The role involves analyzing existing Talend pipelines, redesigning and implementing them in Apache Hop, and building scalable data integration layers for Kinaxis Maestro.
The ideal candidate should have strong Talend development experience, familiarity with modern ETL frameworks, and exposure to AI-assisted migration tools that accelerate code conversion and validation.
Responsibilities
.Analyze and document existing Talend ETL jobs, workflows, and dependencies.
.Migrate Talend pipelines to Apache Hop while ensuring functional parity and performance optimization.
.Design and develop data integration pipelines supporting Kinaxis Maestro and upstream/downstream enterprise systems.
.Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows using Apache Hop.
.Use AI-assisted migration tools or automation frameworks to accelerate Talend to Hop conversion and validation.
.Implement data quality checks, error handling, and logging mechanisms in ETL pipelines.
.Work closely with data architects, supply chain teams, and Kinaxis functional teams to ensure proper data integration.
.Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
.Conduct unit testing, reconciliation, and data validation post migration.
.Maintain technical documentation for pipelines, mappings, and data flows.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
.Relevant years of experience in ETL development and data integration.
.Strong hands-on experience with Talend ETL development.
.Experience working with Apache Hop or similar ETL frameworks (Pentaho, Airflow, Informatica, etc.).
.Good understanding of ETL design patterns, data transformation, and workflow orchestration.
.Experience working with SQL and relational databases (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
.Knowledge of data integration architectures for enterprise systems.
.Experience implementing data quality, reconciliation, and validation frameworks.
.Familiarity with AI-assisted migration or automation tools for ETL code conversion is preferred.
Strong problem solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
.Experience integrating data with Kinaxis Maestro.
.Experience building data integration layers for supply chain or planning systems.
.Exposure to cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
.Knowledge of REST APIs and file-based integrations.
.Experience working in data migration or modernization programs.
.Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
.Good communication and documentation skills
.Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment
.Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced migration program
