Jr. Moodle Developer

As a Jr. Moodle Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Moodle-based applications using PHP and MySQL. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to create robust and standards-compliant solutions. You will work within our EdTech environment, contributing to the development of engaging online learning experiences by building on the Moodle platform.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Understand, interpret, and articulate business requirements to create effective Moodle solutions.
• Develop programs and frameworks based on Industry standards.
• Collaborate with the testing team to develop a Quality Assurance Strategy document.
• Design, develop, and debug systems while ensuring high-quality code.

Skills and Expertise

• Experience in developing web applications using PHP and MySQL.
• Moodle v3.0 or higher development experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the functions and limitations of the Moodle Platform.
• Hands-on experience with design, development, and debugging of systems.
• Experience in using web services (REST/SOAP/Restful JSON).
• Good experience with MySQL, planning database architecture, and responsive design implementations.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Good knowledge of coding standards, best programming practices, and avoiding performance issues.
• Solid skills in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery (preferred).
• Knowledge of Linux and cloud servers (preferred).
• Understanding of repo management and versioning concepts (preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Specialization/Computers/MCA Computers/M.Sc. in any specialization.
