Java Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Java Developer with 3-6 years of coding experience to join our client's innovative team through Acme Services. This pivotal role focuses on solving complex technical challenges, developing microservices, and driving engineering efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in object-oriented programming, a deep understanding of CI/CD best practices, and excellent problem-solving abilities, contributing significantly to a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Contribute to the effort of solving complex and technical challenges to improve engineering efficiency. Engage in hands-on software development using Java, or other object-oriented programming languages like Groovy, Golang, and Python.
• Microservices & Architecture: Gain experience in developing microservices. Possess deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, design patterns, and data structures.
• Tools & Automation: Design, build, and onboard tools to accelerate build, testing, release, and deployment processes. Be familiar with CI/CD best practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Artifactory, Maven, Gradle, and SonarQube.
• Technical Leadership: Drive technical decisions and initiatives for the team, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, logic, and the ability to think outside the box when troubleshooting issues.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work successfully with multi-functional teams and tech leads, coordinating effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies. Mentor team members to maintain engineering excellence.
• Agile Environment: Experience with Agile Methodologies, ensuring adaptability and efficiency in development cycles.
• Research & Innovation: Stay updated by researching the latest technologies and trends, bringing innovative solutions to the team.

Skills

• 3-6 years of coding experience in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.
• Experience in developing microservices.
• Hands-on software development experience in languages like Java, Groovy, Golang, or Python.
• Proficiency in CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Nexus, Artifactory, Maven, Gradle, and SonarQube.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of computer science fundamentals: Object-Oriented Programming concepts, design patterns, and data structures.
• Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related area
