Java Backend Developer

• Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java Spring Boot to support various supply chain functions.
• Implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications, third-party systems, and internal tools.
• Collaborate with product owners and supply chain SMEs to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Work with databases (SQL, PostgresSQL) for efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of supply chain data.
• Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability to handle large volumes of transactional data (eg, inventory, orders, shipments).
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical design documents, and follow clean code and best practices.
• Ensure the security and compliance of backend systems, particularly around data integrity and audit trails.
• Educational Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must-Have Skills:8-10 years of backend development experience with Java (11+) and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of supply chain concepts like order management, inventory control, logistics, and warehouse operations.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (eg, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with version control systems (eg, Git).

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with message queues (Kafka) and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and test automation.
• Experience in cloud-native application development and deployment.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
