Development Manager / Software Architect

Architecture and Development:

• Assess and guide technical delivery of high-quality products ensuring adherence to best practices, documented processes, and delivery commitments
• Estimate software development effort, propose alternatives, and prioritize development tasks
• Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders on product roadmap, requirements, and release schedules
• Ensure product requirements are clear, complete, and testable

Engineering Leadership and Mentoring:

• Serve as Development Manager leading geographically distributed development partner teams
• Guide teams to develop optimal technical designs and implementation approaches
• Report development status, quality, operations, and system performance to executive leadership, escalating issues when needed
• Initiate and participate in process and product quality improvements
• Foster proactive collaboration among technical teams, especially for systems integration

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of experience delivering successful production software systems
• Deep understanding of team-based software development and track record of shipping high-quality software on time
• Strong software architecture and design skills, able to translate raw product requirements into robust solutions
• Mastery of programming languages such as Java and JavaScript
• Solid knowledge of relational databases, especially Microsoft SQL Server
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building consensus and explaining design rationale
• Strong time management skills to meet critical project deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Desire to be challenged and deliver results in a dynamic technical and business environment
