Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in a cross-functional team, responsible for designing and implementing reusable frameworks, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will leverage modern cloud-native designs and AWS services to build solutions that enable rapid product releases and create elastic, scalable, and cost-optimized applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape our public cloud strategy in a dynamic professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Engineering: Implement end-to-end, highly scalable, available, and resilient cloud engineering solutions for both infrastructure and application components using AWS.
  • CI/CD & Automation:
  • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.
  • Write infrastructure automation scripts and templates, integrating them with various DevOps tools.
  • Automate smoke tests and integrate other test automation scripts (unit, integration, and performance tests) into the CI/CD process.
  • Troubleshooting: Actively troubleshoot AWS production environments to ensure stability and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work within an agile environment and collaborate with a culture of innovation to solve complex business challenges.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
  • Experience:
  • 3 to 5 years in IT or Software Engineering.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of dedicated DevOps experience.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proven experience with a wide range of AWS Services including CloudFormation, Terraform, EC2, Fargate, ECS, Docker, Autoscaling, ELB, Lambda, IAM, ECR, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild, CodeCommit / Git, and Artifactory.
  • Highly proficient in Python.
  • Hands-on skills in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Strong knowledge of application architecture, networking, security, reliability, and scalability concepts.
  • Personal Attributes: Must be self-motivated and driven.

Reporting & Team Structure

  • This position reports to the Development Lead within the Hedge Fund Accounting IT (HFAIT) department.
  • The HFAIT department manages the core accounting platform (xeo) and data warehouse, which serve clients globally.
