IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer

Role Overview

We're seeking a skilled System Engineer to join the IT Operations team, supporting Alter Domus infrastructure during U.S. business hours and contributing to infrastructure-related projects. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and a proactive mindset to a globally connected, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to infrastructure-related incidents and service requests during U.S. hours
• Provide hands-on support and collaborate with IT teams on specific projects
• Deliver infrastructure projects balancing cost, time, scope, and quality
• Troubleshoot and deploy a range of infrastructure services and platforms
• Monitor infrastructure performance and availability to ensure service continuity
• Contribute to a secure and compliant working environment by adhering to operational procedures and safety guidelines

Technical Competencies

• In-depth expertise in Microsoft technologies: Server & Client OS, Active Directory, SQL
• Experience with VMware virtual environments
• Proficient in Microsoft cloud solutions such as Azure and Office 365
• Familiarity with network protocols and components
• Working knowledge of Citrix solutions (CVAD and/or DaaS, Gateway)
• Experience in cloud environments and Managed Services
• Proficient in monitoring/reporting platforms
• Familiar with the ITIL framework, including ticketing and Change Management workflows

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 10+ years technical experience in systems engineering
• Former System Engineer experience is a strong asset
• Strong command of PowerShell scripting
• Effective communication across multiple time zones and all levels of management
• Skilled in coordinating with third-party providers and managing stakeholder expectations
• Calm and meticulous under pressure and tight deadlines
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Commercially aware, collaborative, and capable of building alignment across global teams
