Job Description

As an Intern Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in supporting our learning design and development projects from start to finish. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and creative individual to gain hands-on experience in the EdTech industry. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, research and create compelling course content, and help design engaging learning activities and assessments to maximize learner retention.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the team and projects through various phases of learning design and development.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify the target audience's training needs.
  • Research content on a variety of technical and non-technical topics.
  • Compile, structure, and rewrite content according to learner needs.
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer.
  • Develop storyboards to visualize content, graphics, and the user interface.
  • Guide the creation of supporting media such as audio, video, and animations.
  • Develop assessments to judge learner performance.
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders.

Skills and Expertise

  • Strong ability to understand content on a variety of technical and non-technical topics, with good grasping ability.
  • Ability to research information from various sources and compile, structure, and rewrite content as required.
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and audio/video scripts.
  • Basic knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models (SAM, ADDIE, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Imaginative and creative thinking skills and visualization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills (preferred).
  • Dedicated and motivated to learn and upskill (preferred).
  • Good aesthetic sense and visual communication skills, with an eye for detail (preferred).
  • Experience with photo/video editing tools, animation tools, and e-learning authoring tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in any field, preferably teaching, education, English language, journalism, or mass communication.
  • Completion of an online course (beginner level) in instructional design, education, or teaching.
  • Relevant coursework/projects in instructional design, education, teaching, or training.

Additional Information

Work Days & Timings:

  • Work Days: Monday - Friday
  • Work Timings: 10:30 AM - 7:30 PM
