Intensivist / Critical Care Consultant

Patient Care & Clinical Management

• Provide comprehensive medical care in the ICU, including routine and emergency coverage.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients, responding promptly to changes in condition.
• Assess new ICU admissions and manage pain relief protocols as required.

Procedures & Equipment Handling

• Perform critical care procedures, including central line insertion, IV channelization, and intubation.
• Operate and monitor critical care equipment such as ventilators.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols.
• Follow departmental on-call and duty schedules as assigned.

Documentation & Communication

• Prepare accurate treatment sheets, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Report complex health issues to consultants as needed.

Rounds & Collaboration

• Participate in daily rounds independently or alongside consultants.
• Implement necessary changes to patient care plans based on clinical evaluation.
