Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Installation Engineer to join our team, responsible for coordinating the installation of Flexible OCS (Overhead Contact System), Rigid OCS, and 25 KV OHE (Overhead Electrification) systems. The role involves working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, contractors, and customer representatives to ensure safe and efficient project execution. This position requires a strong background in site management, electrical engineering, and the ability to supervise contractors while adhering to safety, quality, and project timelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordination with Project and Site Management:
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Manager, contractors, and customer representatives on-site. Ensure proper communication and adherence to project instructions.
• Safety and Quality Standards:
• Ensure safe working conditions for all Siemens project team members and contractor workers on-site, particularly during power and traffic block operations. Ensure compliance with customer and Siemens' safety, quality, and budget requirements.
• Material Management:
• Oversee the loading and unloading of materials at the site, ensuring all required materials are available. Follow up with suppliers, logistics teams, and storekeepers to maintain material availability on-site.
• Installation Supervision:
• Responsible for overseeing installation activities, ensuring they are completed within budget, on time, and according to the required quality and safety standards.
• Coordination with Site and Project Manager:
• Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager, following instructions provided throughout the project lifecycle.
• Customer and Contractor Coordination:
• Represent Siemens at the site and participate in meetings, inspections, and discussions with customer representatives, contractors, statutory bodies, and other interface partners as directed by the Project Manager and Site Manager.
• Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor and supervise contractors' installation work, ensuring it aligns with Method Statements, Good for Construction (GFC) drawings, EHS plans, and the project timeline.
• Collaboration with EHS and Quality Officers:
• Work in close coordination with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) officers and Quality officers at the site. Participate in safety meetings, safety talks, Toolbox Talks (TBT), and Last Minute Risk Assessments (LMRA).
• Dimensions / KPIs:
• Oversee the installation works of Flexible OCS and Rigid OCS (25KV OHE), focusing on contractor work supervision, time management, EHS compliance, and quality assurance.

Desired Skills

• Education:
• UG: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• PG: Any Postgraduate (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience (5-7 years for Diploma holders) in Site Management for FOCS and ROCS work, particularly in metros or with Indian Railways.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of OHE Layout Plan (LOP), Cross Section Details (CSDs), Structure Erection Drawings (SEDs), General Power Supply (GPS) diagrams, Sectioning and Wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for layout and technical drawings.
• Expertise in MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Communication Skills:
• Fluent in English with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic situations and a mobile working environment.
• Flexibility & Mobility:
• Willingness to travel and work across different project sites as per the project requirements.
