Informatica Powercentre

Teamware Solutions is seeking a skilled Informatica PowerCenter Developer/Administrator to design, develop, and manage robust ETL solutions. You'll play a crucial role in extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources into target systems, ensuring data integrity, quality, and availability for business intelligence and reporting. This position is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in the full lifecycle of Informatica PowerCenter implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• ETL Development & Design:
• Design, develop, and implement complex ETL mappings, Mapplets, Transformations (e.g., Source Qualifier, Aggregator, Joiner, Router, Lookup, Expression, Filter), and Sessions using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Create and manage workflows, worklets, and tasks within Informatica Workflow Manager.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for source/target systems and transformation logic.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the ETL process.
• Administration & Support:
• Install, configure, and maintain Informatica PowerCenter environments (Repository Service, Integration Service, Web Services Hub, Node).
• Perform user and group management, folder permissions, and security configurations.
• Monitor ETL job executions, troubleshoot failures, and ensure timely data loads.
• Manage code deployments across development, QA, and production environments.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization:
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in ETL mappings and workflows.
• Implement performance tuning techniques at the source, target, and transformation levels to optimize data load times.
• Conduct capacity planning and ensure the scalability of the Informatica environment.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging:
• Provide expert-level support for Informatica PowerCenter-related issues, including debugging complex mappings and workflows.
• Analyze session logs and workflow logs to diagnose and resolve data integration problems.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and report developers to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for ETL processes, data lineage, and system configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Informatica PowerCenter Developer and/or Administrator.
• Strong proficiency in designing, developing, and optimizing Informatica ETL mappings, transformations, and workflows.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star schema, snowflake schema, and slowly changing dimensions (SCDs).
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata).
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix scripting for automation of ETL processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Informatica PowerCenter Developer/Administrator certification.
• Experience with other Informatica products (e.g., Data Quality, Data Governance).
• Knowledge of cloud data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
