IBM InfoSphere DataStage / Teradata

Responsibilities:

• ETL Development & Implementation: Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage to facilitate data integration, migration, and warehousing.
• Data Warehousing with Teradata: Work extensively with Teradata as a data warehousing platform, including database design, query optimization, and data loading strategies.
• Analysis & Design: Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements for data integration, translating them into technical designs and specifications for DataStage jobs and Teradata schemas.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Optimize DataStage job performance and Teradata SQL queries to ensure efficient data processing, loading, and retrieval for large datasets.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and ongoing support for DataStage jobs, Teradata database issues, and overall data pipeline operations, ensuring smooth functioning and high availability.
• Operational Contribution: Actively contribute to the operational efficiency and effectiveness of data systems built on or integrated with DataStage and Teradata.
• Data Quality & Governance: Implement data quality checks and contribute to data governance initiatives within the ETL processes and Teradata environment.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with data architects, business analysts, source system owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless data integration and successful project delivery.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
• Proficiency in Teradata database and data warehousing concepts.
• Ability to perform analysis, development, implementation, and troubleshooting within the DataStage and Teradata domains.
• Strong understanding of ETL methodologies and data integration patterns.
• Problem-solving skills for complex data-related challenges.
• Ability to contribute to business objectives through effective data solutions.
