IBM Data Stage professionals

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for all ETL jobs and data workflows built on IBM DataStage.
• Monitor and maintain ETL processes using scheduling and monitoring tools to proactively prevent failures.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, job failures, and data discrepancies within defined SLAs.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring or critical issues and implement permanent solutions.
• Execute manual restarts/reruns of DataStage jobs as necessary to minimize data load delays.
• Participate in on-call rotations to handle critical production issues after hours.
• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines and data workflows using Python (Pandas) and DataStage.
• Work with Teradata (Vantage), SQL Server, Greenplum, Hive, and large text-based data files.
• Perform data migration, transformation, and performance tuning for large-scale data sets.
• Leverage database tools to develop DDL scripts, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Collaborate in Agile environments throughout the software development lifecycle—design, development, testing, deployment, and operations.
