Business Skills :

• General understanding of budgeting and reporting processes
• Solid knowledge of cost allocation mechanisms
• Ability to navigate data models using Ad Hoc analyses in Smart View to identify likely causes of discrepancies
• Able to support the client during the budgeting phase and in management reporting

ESSBASE application skills :

• Creation of an application/cube in ESSBASE.
• Design, creation, and management of the data model: outline repository administration via the web interface and cube designer in Smart View.
• Dimension building using rules.
• Data loading using rules in ESSBASE.
• Management of substitution variable and prompts.
• Creation of simple calculation scripts: aggregation, data clearing, scenario initialization, data copying between scenarios, member formulas…
• Creation of complex calculation scripts: specific business needs, cost allocation rules…
• Security management in ESSBASE.

Soft skills (if possible) : Able to lead or contribute to training sessions for financial stakeholders on ESSBASE 21C and other solutions within the application landscape.
