Job Description
- Lead and maintain constructive relationships with labour unions and worker representatives.
- Handle collective bargaining, longterm settlements, and daytoday union negotiations.
- Ensure effective grievance redressal mechanisms to minimize disputes.
- Maintain continuous dialogue with union leaders to preempt conflicts.
- Represent the company in conciliation meetings, labour court matters, and other statutory forums.
- Manage disciplinary cases, domestic enquiries, and ensure fair procedures.
- Drive communication and engagement initiatives to enhance workforce trust and transparency.
- Ensure 100% compliance with all labour laws applicable to the factory (Factories Act, CLRA, ID Act, Payment of Wages, Minimum Wages, ESIC, PF, MW Act, POSH, etc.).
- Handle inspections from government authorities such as Labour Department, Factory Inspectorate, PF/ESIC, Pollution Control Board, etc.
- Maintain accurate and updated statutory records, forms, registers, and documents.
- Monitor compliance of contractors and thirdparty workforce in line with CLRA guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and licenses renewal.
- Ensure rightsized contract labour deployment through contractor coordination.
- Monitor compliance of all contractors regarding wages, registers, PF/ESIC deposition, and benefits.
- Manage entry/exit compliance, onboarding, and ID card process for contract workforce.
- Conduct periodic audits of contractors and address gaps immediately.
- Handle legal notices, labour disputes, litigation, and coordinate with external legal counsel.
- Prepare case documents, maintain records, and represent company positions effectively.
- Manage disciplinary actions in compliance with company standing orders.
