GYNECOLOGIST

Responsibilities

• Perform annual and routine examinations to diagnose various gynecological conditions
• Record, maintain, and update patients' medical histories
• Advise patients on appropriate birth control and family planning options
• Conduct diagnostic tests including Pap smears, STD tests, ultrasounds, hormone profile tests, colposcopies, and endometrial biopsies
• Explain diagnostic results, medical conditions, and treatment options to patients
• Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures such as cervical cryosurgeries, dilation and curettages, pelvic laparoscopies, and sterilizations
• Refer patients to relevant healthcare specialists when advanced or additional care is required
• Educate patients on reproductive health, preventative care, and disease prevention
