Group Leader - Application Testing

This role is for a Group Leader - Application Testing to lead a team in ensuring the quality of web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both manual testing and team collaboration, with a focus on documenting, tracking, and resolving defects to ensure a high-quality user experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify rules and data needed for testing various portals and web applications.
• Draft and document test cases and test results.
• Perform manual testing of web applications in different environments and on Android and iPhone devices.
• Track and resolve reported defects using Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Prepare comprehensive test reports.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams in an offshore/on-site model.
• Analyze client inquiries, document them using BRD/SRD templates, and assess their relevance and impact.
• Prioritize requirements by conducting brainstorming sessions with stakeholders and SMEs.
• Create Use Cases, BRD, and various workflow diagrams.
• Develop wireframes for dashboards and screens using tools like Balsamiq.
• Perform sanity/smoke testing of implemented code.
• Resolve or escalate complex issues to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
• Act as a Point of Contact for the development and business teams.
• Finalize work estimates for projects in collaboration with development and testing teams.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or in a similar role.
• Experience in project management and QA methodology.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors effectively.
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• Engineering, BSc/BA in Computer Science, or a related field.
