EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS

JJD :

• Minimum 7-12 years of experience in Green plum database.
• Experience in production environment 24*7 support
• Hands on experience with Greenplum database V6.X .
• Excellent Greenplum/PostgreSQL architecture and database maintenance knowledge
• Experience in Greenplum command centre and workload management
• Experience in Greenplum Performance monitoring, tuning, Backup and troubleshooting
• Maintain Greenplum capacity planning, administration, expansion and install, configure Greenplum environment components.
• Responsible for administration of Greenplum infrastructure, file system management, log files, and monitoring;
• Collaborate with other teams to apply updates, patches, version upgrades as required;
• Monitor data distribution to identify data skew, also monitor vacuum and analyse needed on objects
• Manage segments, recover segments during segment crash.
• Manage GP backup and restore
• Proficient with gpfdist for data loading and other tools/utility of GP
• Excellent shell and sql skill for DBA tasks automation Ability to or willing to learn other database technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Maintain a good relationship with other technology teams.
• Diligently partner with the infrastructure, network, Server, Storage, other database and application teams .
• Monitor Greenplum cluster connectivity and security, support and maintenance
• Strong communication skills
• Role required to work from Office only.
• Provide 24x7 operation support.
• Have Prior lead experience with
• People management and Shift management
• Ability to work both independently and Lead.
