GM/ AVP Manufacturing Engineering- ATP

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of complete manufacturing processes, from part design to process conceptualization, proof-out, and handover to operations for mass production.
• Manage and grow a diversely skilled engineering team, including fixture designers, CAM programmers, cutting tool developers, process qualification engineers, and assembly line engineers.
• Drive process development for precision engineering parts involving CNC machining, stamping/press operations, finishing processes (blasting, polishing, tumbling), and small component assembly.
• Standardize engineering processes, perform analytical problem solving, failure analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and design teams to integrate learnings and scale processes efficiently.
• Lead cycle time optimization initiatives and continuous improvement of cutting paths, tool selection, and MCM programming to achieve targeted capacities and reduce product costs.
• Develop and optimize cleaning and surface finishing processes, applying statistical tools like JMP and Minitab, and lead DMAIC-based process improvement projects.
• Coordinate with sub-tier designs for manufacturing (DFM) impacting process design and development, including fixtures, cutting tools, stamping tools, jigs, injection molds, and inserts.
• Present process findings, data, and recommendations to customers to improve yields and process consistency.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions for procurement of machines and equipment, including ROI analysis for new processes or products.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering strong leadership and project management skills.
