GENERAL SURGEON

 Responsibilities

• Examine patients and make diagnoses to determine the need for surgical intervention
• Review patient medical histories and plan the most appropriate surgical procedures
• Evaluate and advise patients on the risks associated with surgery
• Perform surgical procedures to prevent or correct injury, disease, deformities, and functional impairments while maintaining regulatory and ethical standards
• Follow established surgical techniques and best practices during all operative procedures
• Prescribe preoperative and postoperative treatments and care plans
• Ensure sterility and safety in the operating room, including equipment and instruments
• Direct and coordinate activities of hospital staff to ensure proper and efficient patient care
• Oversee all treatments before and after surgery and identify related risks
• Maintain the highest regard for patient dignity and adhere to patient rights standards
• Plan and implement disease prevention and health promotion programs
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and monitor patient recovery and health post-surgery
• Conduct research to develop and improve surgical techniques, procedures, and patient outcomes
