Job Responsibilities:

• Apply deep experience and technical know-how in the Software Engineering domain to design, build, and maintain multiple complex software application technologies.
• Manage the interaction of software applications with Telstra processes and systems (as per original JD context, indicating integration with existing large-scale systems).
• Develop innovative software solutions that ensure data/network security management and leverage established processes to reduce time from commission to production.
• Authentically engage with and influence a multi-stakeholder landscape to translate customer needs into leading-edge software application products, services, or systems.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and key stakeholders, seeking support, direction, and buy-in to gain deep insights into challenges and opportunities of software application technologies and platforms.
• Significantly contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for systems and processes, helping define best practice corporate testing standards and driving improved outcomes (e.g., productivity, customer experience, profitability).
• Lead initiatives or components of initiatives aligned with the strategic direction of the team/mission, impacting the function or cross-functionally.
• Take ownership of actions and decisions to drive positive outcomes within the team/mission, and provide guidance to more junior engineers to support their development.
• Engage in Magik development for Smallworld applications.
• Utilize Agile/DevOps practices, including Jira, Confluence, and participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Manage source control using Git.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Client Smallworld Application (Physical Network Inventory v5.x).
• Proficiency in Magik development.
• Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining complex software application technologies.
• Strong understanding of data/network security management in software development.
• Ability to engage with and influence a multi-stakeholder landscape.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Significant contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with Agile/DevOps tools and methodologies including Jira, Confluence, and Agile ceremonies.
• Proficiency in Git for source control.
• Telecom domain experience.

Good to Have:

• Experience with PRM, ONA, GSS, or GSA.
