gcp data engineer

We are seeking a GCP Data Engineer with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Looker, Data Lake/DWH/ETL, and SQL Cloud Migration. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding and extensive experience in these areas, coupled with excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• GCP Data Solution Design & Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• BigQuery & Data Warehousing: Work extensively with BigQuery for data warehousing, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency for large datasets.
• Data Lake/DWH/ETL: Implement and manage Data Lake/Data Warehouse (DWH) solutions and build efficient ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines.
• SQL Expertise: Write complex SQL queries for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
• Cloud Migration: Participate in and lead Cloud Migration initiatives, specifically migrating data solutions to GCP.
• Business Intelligence Integration: Utilize Looker for data visualization and business intelligence, integrating with underlying data sources.
• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and other engineers, to understand data requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Problem Solving: Apply excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve complex data challenges.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data pipelines and queries for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency within GCP.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding and extensive experience in GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Looker for data visualization and BI.
• Strong understanding and experience with Data Lake/Data Warehouse (DWH) concepts and ETL processes.
• Expertise in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.
• Proven experience with Cloud Migration projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
