Functional Test Engineers

We are looking for experienced Functional Test Engineers to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual and functional testing, with a deep understanding of software development life cycles and quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and functional requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases
• Execute test cases manually and log defects with comprehensive documentation
• Validate fixes and perform regression testing as needed
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to ensure quality in the development process
• Participate in all phases of testing life cycle (test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting)
• Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and maintain test artifacts
• Provide estimates for test efforts and contribute to sprint planning (if Agile)
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices

Required Skills:

• 2 to 7 years of hands-on experience in functional and manual testing
• Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC
• Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail, or similar
• Experience in web, mobile, and API testing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Good documentation and communication skills
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies

Preferred Skills:

• Basic understanding of automation testing tools like Selenium, Postman, or similar
• Experience in banking, insurance, healthcare, or e-commerce domains is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL for database validation
• ISTQB certification is a plus
