Front End Engineer II

About the role

• As a member of Front-end Experience's Enablement team, you will provide support and enablement for delivering complex, cross-product UI features across HashiCorp's portfolio of products.
• Work closely with engineers and designers across the company to leverage your experience and expertise in building accessible, delightful, and maintainable UIs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product designers and engineers to support the delivery of new features or refactors in our UIs.
• Drive adoption of the Helios design system across our products.
• Identify and act on opportunities to leave product UIs better than you found them.
• Regularly adapt to new products and areas of focus as priorities shift and new initiatives emerge.
• Support effective project handoff through written communication and documentation.

Required Education

• Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 3+ years in Software Development, specifically in JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
• 3+ years experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Experience with Helios and/or Carbon.
• Strong interest in customer-focused work, collaborating with Design and Product Management to deliver impactful solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop quality, sustainable components from wireframes.
• Ability to operate within a creative and proactive culture to improve component quality.
• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and team success.
• Proven ability to lead by example and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Commitment to developing well-tested solutions to ensure high reliability and performance.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Experience with diverse technology stacks and project types is preferred.
• Experience with the Ember.js framework or a strong interest and ability to get up to speed with it.
