FR Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FR (Financial Reporting) Team Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for a professional with a strong background in asset management accounting and a proven ability to prepare and review complex financial statements. You'll be instrumental in leading client engagements, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, and mentoring a team to achieve excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Statement Leadership:
• Prepare and review annual, semi-annual, and quarterly financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Lead assigned engagements, including planning, budgeting, client relationship management, and delegating tasks to staff.
• Ensure the accuracy of footnote disclosures in line with all relevant standards by reviewing legal fund documents.
• Coordinate the year-end financial statement process and present information to clients and external auditors.
• Team Management & Development:
• Provide guidance to team members to help strengthen specific knowledge areas and achieve team goals.
• Identify errors or problems, investigate independently, and recommend solutions to the team or managers.
• Attend meetings and training to enhance your knowledge and pass it on to junior staff.
• Business & Client Relations:
• Recognize and communicate potential opportunities for new clients and service enhancements for existing ones.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports for clients upon request and assist with preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs) for prospective clients.
• Troubleshoot Fund Accounting issues and contribute to researching and communicating recent authoritative pronouncements globally.

About You

• Experience: Previous experience in Financial Statement review and/or preparation.
• Knowledge:
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS, particularly pronouncements related to the alternative funds industry.
• Advanced knowledge of complex derivatives.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word.
• Proficient in navigating Bloomberg.
• Education & Certifications:
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• CPA, CA, or other professional designation is preferred.
