Forklift Operator

he Forklift Operator is responsible for moving goods around warehouses or other places by using the forklift, the forklift operator unloads deliveries from trucks and stack boxes for storage purposes throughout the warehouse and other places. Shall operate forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The goal is to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

Role & responsibilities

• Unload materials from incoming vehicles and stack them in assigned storage locations.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Stack loads in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations efficiently and safely.
• Perform daily forklift checks to determine the need for repairs and ensure operational safety.
• Complete forms and handle all required documentation accurately.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification: Must: • Class 10th / High School Minimum • License for Forklift operation Desirable • Basic knowledge of 5S • Ability to understand labels and fill out forms correctly

Relevant Experience:

Experience working with heavy machinery • Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform heavy lifting on a consistent basis Desirable: • Ammunition or related industry experience.
